INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

ABOUT PRESENTATIONS

The program of the school, the book of abstracts and information about the poster sessions can be downloaded from the following links:

 

 

The format for each type of presentation is:

-- Invited talks: the duration is 50 minutes + 10 extra minutes for questions.

-- Short talks: the duration is 25 minutes + 5 extra minutes for questions.

-- Posters: must have portrait format with maximum dimensions of Width = 90 cm  and Height = 120 cm.

Conference Fees*

The conference fees include a printed version of the book of abstracts and the electronic version of the proceedings when they are available. The fees should be paid during the conference. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

Student - USD$100.00                               Researchers - USD$200.00

* The resources collected through the conference fees will be used exclusively to finance the Latin American School of Physics "Marcos Moshinsky" 2017. These resources will not be transferred in whole or in part, in any way, to El Colegio Nacional.

Hotel Lisboa

 

To reach El Colegio Nacional from Hotel Lisboa, we advice to use the Metro. The hotel is located next to the Metro station Hospital General (line 3). Take this station and head to station Hidalgo. Once in Hidalgo station you need to change to line 2 and go to either Allende or Zocalo stations, both are at few minutes walking to El Colegio Nacional. This route will take about 35 minutes.

There are several options for getting around Mexico City. The metro system is very large and there is a metro station close to almost any tourist place. Online services like Uber and Cabify are also available and are very functional.

If you want to visit any part of the city or need any advice, please contact any member of the Local Organizing Committee, we will be happy to assist you.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

July 24th to August 4th, 2017 : El Colegio Nacional : Mexico City

Several of the contributions to the School will be published in a Proceedings volume edited by the American Institute of Physics (AIP).  We have signed a perpetual online access contract with AIP that provides online access to proceedings that will be permanently free-to-read and available to researchers worldwide without any fee to access or download the papers.

Authors that we have invited to prepare a Chapter for this volume have already received an e-mail providing all the information concerning the preparation of the manuscript. In any case, we would like to provide here where to find the important information.

Deadlines:

The deadline for the authors to send their manuscript is September 17th, 2017.

AIP has very specific guidelines concerning the contents and ethics, which can be consulted in the links listed below.

The manuscript can be prepared as a TeX or as a word file. Detailed information regarding the format and manuscript preparation is available in the following link, where you can download the template in each format:

Concerning the length of the article although we do not accept contributions with less than four pages we suggest the maximum extension to be 50 pages.
